HERITAGE RIVER CLEANUP – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Saturday, April 17th is the annual cleanup day for Ruthven Park. Join the Cultural Landscape Committee as they prepare the grounds for the summer season. Trail grooming, raking, and garden maintenance are a few of the tasks. Bring your gloves and rake!

Saturday, May 29 has been chosen as Heritage River Cleanup Day. This event, coordinated by the Grand River Conservation Authority, is part of the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the designation of the Grand River and its major tributaries as Canadian Heritage Rivers. Our contribution will be to gather the garbage along Ruthven property on Hwy. #54.

Call the Gate House at Ruthven to volunteer - together we can make a difference!

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK: APRIL 18 - 24, 2004

It takes a lot of time, talent, skill and effort to operate Ruthven Park. Whether it be housekeeping, grass cutting, providing tours, grooming trails, promoting the site, sitting on committees, researching, or birdbanding, all of these tasks are necessary to maintain the site and present it to the public. We are very fortunate to have so many volunteers who willingly give of their time to keep our gate open. The Land Trust and staff would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our many volunteers – you know who you are!
