Field School Returns to Ruthven
Dr. John Triggs, three teaching assistants and 21 students
will be returning to Ruthven this spring. The
field school scheduled for May 1st until June 9th will
focus once again on further investigation of the industrial
former town of Indiana. We look forward to
working once again with Wilfrid Laurier University and welcome further research on the town site. The
excavation will be focused north of the lock site along
the Grand River. Dr. Triggs and the CAO of Ruthven
have been working with the owner of the property
who is quite excited about the project. Watch for an
article in an upcoming newsletter.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
THANK YOU to the Hald-Nor Credit Union for the
donation of a photocopier for the Gate House. The
credit union has replaced their equipment so the ‘new’ copier will provide many enhanced features
that will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of
the office. The lease of the current photocopier has
expired so the timing is perfect!
